Product Description

This set of 4 formidable vintage coupe glasses have the Gorham feel — heavy, good-sized, and for want to be filled. Impressive punty or bullseye cuts ring the round bowl (often called “printie” in the UK and Ireland). This type of circular convex cut is considered one of the earliest motifs in glass cutting dating back to Roman times. Exquisite faceted cuts shoot up vertically from the punty. Notice the elegant stems — faceted column with a jewel shape near the top.

The bowl is flared typical of vintage glasses and may have been designed for the popular and spirited 19th-century treat, syllabub. The glasses are 5 inches tall with 4-3/4 inch openings and holds a heavy 6 oz. pour. This set is so versatile. You’ll be using them for cocktails, champagne, dessert wines, and dessert. Cheers!

No chips, cloudiness, or discoloration. In excellent condition.
