Product Description

Jerry Thomas and Harry Johnson were the Patron Saints of American bartending. Their milestone books — Thomas’ in 1862 and Jonson’s in 1882 — signaled the professionalization of the bartending trade, the popularity of a new type of drink (the cocktail), and the rise of modern bartending tools and equipment. Each candle features a facsimile of the bartender demonstrating his famous flair. The flair is embellished with magic glitter just like the magic of the concoctions these early bartenders are famous for. Learn the history of these titans of the bar and make an authentic 19th-century mixed drink from the recipe on the label.

Keep your altar safe! Always trim your candle wicks to 1/4-inch before burning and never leave unattended.
